Kees van Meerten succeeds Bruno Smets as Treasurer

As of 1 September 2026, Bruno Smets has stepped down as Treasurer and Board member of the Good Light Group Foundation. He is succeeded by Kees van Meerten.

Bruno was one of the co-founders of the Good Light Group Foundation in 2019 and has played an important role in the Foundation’s development over the past seven years. We are very grateful for his commitment, support and contribution from the very beginning.

Kees brings extensive experience in the lighting industry as well as in trade associations. He has already been involved in several Good Light Group Board meetings over recent months.

We are pleased that Kees has agreed to take over Bruno’s responsibilities as Treasurer and Board member and look forward to working with him.

We thank Bruno warmly for everything he has contributed to the Good Light Group and welcome Kees to the Board.
